Q&A

What do you enjoy most about massage therapy?

I enjoy most the privilege of being a part of my client's rehabilitative process. Whatever myofascial issues that they may be experiencing, if it's within my scope of practice to handle, my chief concern becomes assisting them in their recovery. I also love being up to date on the latest science based literature pertaining to the maintenance of physical health to pass that information on to further facilitate their wellbeing.

I would describe my style as explorative. I like to open all clinical sessions with slow, broad effleurages at a medium to deep level of pressure to assess muscle tonicity, nodules in the tissue fibers, and general tightness to create a comprehensive plan of action to best fit the client's desired outcome.

How would you describe your technique/style?

What do you think is a comfortable pressure to use on a client’s muscles?

The pressure that I use is a combination of client comfort and performance efficacy. There are some issue that a client may present with with that will require me to go just a bit deeper and pass the level of relaxation, but with that client’s consent, I seek to walk them through that experience to best assure their desired results.
